Management

SciTech Development is managed by a group of people who bring a cross section of talent, which has the breadth of experience required to bring paradigm shifting technologies to market. The team has experience starting new companies, rescuing underperforming companies, managing high technology manufacturing and distribution operations, initiating breakthrough clinical therapies, leading developmental therapeutic programs at both the NCI and FDA, inventing new medical technology devices, and leading international technology development teams. They have worked together to bring several scientific and commercial perspectives together to benefit from the failure of others in developmental efforts.

Earle T. Holsapple III, President: Mr. Holsapple has shown his leadership capabilities by: launching several new ventures, serving as the C.E.O. or C.O.O. of six profitable midsize companies, acting as a turnaround consultant, and ultimately managing the development of several new medical technologies. In the last several decades, he has been instrumental in raising over $125,000,000 of debt and equity for four leveraged buyouts while taking a key investment and/or management position. He served as CURE Project Manager and was the acting manager of CETAID.

Ralph E. Parchment, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer & Principal Inventor: Dr. Parchment is a pharmacologist who has published the principles and pitfalls of predicting drug safety and efficacy from in vitro cell culture systems since entering the field in 1990 at the Hipple Cancer Research Center.  He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics in 1986 from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  After a fellowship in experimental tumor pathology at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, he served as the Director of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the Hipple Cancer Research Center from 1990-1992.  From 1992-1996 Dr. Parchment worked on developing new in-vitro toxicology testing techniques for the NCI under contract with SAIC. In 1996, he was appointed to the faculty of the Wayne State University School of Medicine in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pharmacology, where he supervised clinical pharmacology for the Phase I clinical trials unit of the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Charles Grieshaber, Ph.D., Senior Scientist & Director of Drug Development: Dr. Grieshaber has extensive experience in oncology research as well as being a documented expert in the preclinical and clinical development of new anticancer agents, specifically the balance between safety and efficacy of new drugs.  He has been instrumental in the development of many new drugs over the past 2 decades at the National Cancer Institute with more that 20 going to INDA. Dr. Grieshaber has extensive preclinical experience, including, 21 years at the NCI (Chief of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Branch of the Developmental Therapeutics Program between 1980-1990), 8 years at the FDA (Director of the Office of Testing and Research, in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research), 4 years in academia (Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University and the Henry Ford Hospital), and 4 years in the biotech industry.  He has developed molecules from preclinical/IND filing to Phase I, II including the requisite regulatory interactions.
